Public Relations

“Ethiopia is a country with her own cultures and mores. These, our cultures and customs, more than being the legacy of our historical past, are characteristics of our Ethiopianness. We do not want our legacies and traditions to be lost. Our wish and desire is that education develop, enrich, and modify them. You all know.”

An area of emphasis for the ARC is shaping and framing the public’s perception of the organization, its members and the overall RasTafari way of life. In doing so, members work to influence, engage and build relationships with key stakeholders across platforms and geographies.

Relevant and strategic public relations campaigns are conducted in response to data, public opinion, attitudes and issues that may impact the organization, its members and/or RasTafari generally. Campaigns are designed for lead generation, fundraising, community development, to address misconceptions pertaining to the RasTafari community and livity and to increase awareness about issues and causes that directly or indirectly impact the RasTafari community.

ARC public relation campaigns include but are not limited to:

  • Corporate, crisis, executive and internal communications;

  • Investor and fund development communications and advocacy;

  • Strategies for marketing, branding and visibility for initiatives and projects;

  • Media relations, including press releases and media placements; and

  • Brand journalism, social media development and content creation.

Members are encouraged to share ideas for public relations campaigns and provide leadership in implementation.
